Unemployment rate
In Brazil the unemployment rate has gone from 5.2 percent in about November of 2013 to about 4.6 percent in December of 2013. This shows a growth in the amount of people that are employed in Brazil. The graph above is different from other graphs because in other graphs, if the bars are increasing it is a good thing. In this graph if the graph is decreasing, it means that the unemployment rate is decreasing and more people have jobs. Too be unemployed, one has to not have a job, be in the work force and be actively looking for a job. One also must not be institutionalized as in going to school or in a mental detention. This also relates to one of the factors that shift the demand curve, income. If a person is unemployed, his or her's income is very limited and the demand for goods will decrease. |
